NEW DELHI: Bihar MP Pappu Yadav's allegedly unruly behaviour with an air hostess on a Patna-Delhi Jet Airways flight on Tuesday forced the captain to seek priority landing in the capital and ask for security presence at the arrival gate.
Yadav's ire was directed at a senior airhostess who tried to enforce mandatory safety rules, and the lawmaker reportedly threatened to beat her with his 'chappal'. Pappu Yadav is popularly known as a big goon of Bihar.
The airhostess has complained in writing to the airline, certified as "true and authentic" by the captain. "This is shameful and if a VIP manhandles our crew and gets away free of any charge," the captain's note says.
Airline or crew is fearing retribution by this all powerful MP , High Court should initiate a suo moto proceedings and direct police to register a case and investigate so that the guilty is brouught to justice. He can not claim any special privilege merely because "I am a M.P. " . Even House Speaker should take action as this behaviour of an M.P brings disrepute to the House members in general. They should be held to a higher standards than the general public.
The LS member, recently expelled from Lalu Yadav's RJD, though denied the incident.
