Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed the situation post Gurdaspur terror incident at a high-level meeting in New Delhi. Sources said, during the meeting, Mr Singh discussed strategy and steps required to be taken to prevent such incidents. He also appreciated Punjab Police for the successful operation.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, heads of intelligence agencies and senior Home Ministry officials attended the meeting. Talking to media persons after the meeting, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval termed the incident as a very serious terror attack.
According to Home Ministry, four policemen were martyred and three civilians were killed in the incident. All the three terrorists were gunned down.
