Blazing Bajirao !!!

Just weeks before the release of the movie, Ero’s Studio found a unique way of promoting the film ahead of its release,Ranveer Singhlaunched the Blazing Bajirao series online - a graphic web series based on the life of the Maratha warrior.

The series in youth friendly mix of Hindi and English is based on the life of Bajirao Peshwa, who fought 41 battles in his life and expanded the Maratha Empire in India. Our history books, in their staid tone, have told us that he is the greatest of the nine Maratha peshwas. That he is said to have won all of his 41 battles. That he is responsible for the establishment and consolidation of the Maratha Empire. Yet, we've never quite perceived Bajirao as a pan-Indian hero.
But when we hear the same story through what might be called an animated graphic novel, the great Maratha warrior riding into the sunset with rock music playing in the background, becomes a superhero. The first episode of about 3 minutes duration released exclusively on Eros Now la…

COP21 : Paris Climate Change 2015 !!!!

Nearly 150 world leaders are meeting in Paris over one mission: Agree onlegally binding reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. As global average temperatures soar, they will try to get a handle on the cause.
On Monday, the leaders of the main players necessary to achieve the ambitious goal -- China and the United States -- will sit down together atthe COP21. They are also thelargest producers of greenhouse gases.
COP stands for Conference of Parties, an annual forum to try to tackle climate on a global political level. It kicks off under the specter of the November 13 terror attacks in Paris that killed 130, and world leaders will observe a moment of silence in honor of the victims on Monday. Authorities haveclamped downon anti-global warming demonstrations in the city out of security concerns.
Nevertheless, disappointed demonstrators turned out on Sunday, and brief clashes erupted with police at the Place de la Republique, where peaceful protesters had placed rows of shoes and name tags…

New pictures of Princess Charlotte !!!

Be ready for an overload of cuteness !!!
Prince WilliamandCatherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, have released two new photographs of Princess Charlotte, who was born on May 2.
Catherine took these photographs in early November at their home in Norfolk. The two images show the toddler princess sitting on a gingham chair, wearing a pale violet sweater buttoned to the neck over a floral dress. In one photo she laughs while playing with a fuzzy toy dog. In the other she looks toward the camera with a more serious expression. "The Duke and Duchess continue to receive warm messages about Princess Charlotte from all around the world and they hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do," Kensington Palace said in a prepared statement.
The photos reveal that Charlotte has brown hair and blue eyes. The princess, fourth in line to the British throne, was last seen in public in Julywhen she was christenedin the church at St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, Norfolk.

Tamasha - Review !!!

An hour into the movie, I found that there is no emotional involvement here, no commitment, no agenda. Ved and Tara meet in Corsica. This is the kind of sun-kissed Mediterranean island where inhibitions is left at home and one enjoys the picturesque bistros, colourful locals in fancy dress, green lush countryside, sparkling blue waters - absolutely no strings attached, and sadly did not create much of an impact.
In Tamasha, director and writer Imtiaz Ali grapples with many big ideas. The film is a celebration of storytelling, of the power of lies to reveal the truth. It is also about the transformative power of love. And it’s about following your passion and seizing the day.
Ranbir and Deepika Padukone work well together, be it communicating, resisting love or giving in to it or facing up to the break-up. They belong to each other. But the telling of the tale becomes too turgid and protracted; after which the characters lapses into sheer disinterest and boredom.
It also brings in the tra…

Remembering 26/11 !!

We as a nation and as a society don’t give a damn about our soldiers and martyrs. It’s all cosmetic. We hold some half-hearted homage meetings which are media-focused. More attention is paid to what thenetajisays, how he looks and places the wreath, rather than on the lives and deeds of the martyrs.
It has been 7 years since the tragic events of the Mumbai attacks took place. The memories of the brutal attack are still fresh for those who faced one of the most heinous attacks on Indian soil. Mumbai stood united and came out of the attack while the whole nation prayed for the city. But those who lost their loved ones and those who survived will remain scarred forever.
Let’s take a moment to remember all the lives and dreams that were lost that day. Gone but never forgotten.

Let us remember these spirit that will never be broken.

Aamir : I was speaking from my heart !!!

“To all the people shouting obscenities at me for speaking my heart out, it saddens me to say you are only proving my point”.
Reacting to the criticism for his statement on the rising levels of 'intolerance' in the country, actor Aamir Khan on Wednesday said neither he nor his wife has any intention of leaving India. The actor said: "I stand by everything I have said”. He also hit out at people who called him 'anti-national', saying he does not need anyone's 'permission nor endorsement for that.'
Here is the full text of the actor's statement:
First let me state categorically that neither I, nor my wife Kiran, have any intention of leaving the country. We never did, and nor would we like to in the future. Anyone implying the opposite has either not seen my interview or is deliberately trying to distort what I have said. India is my country, I love it, I feel fortunate for being born here, and this is where I am staying.
Secondly, I stand by everythin…

Missing Russian Jet Pilot - Alive !!!

A Russian pilot who went missing after his jet was shot down by Turkey while taking part in air strikes over Syria was rescued in a 12-hour operation involving Special Forces, Russia says. The pilot is "alive and well" at a Russian air base in Syria!
His co-pilot and a marine involved in a failed rescue attempt were killed. Turkey said the jet had strayed into its airspace but Russian President Vladimir Putin says the plane was flying over Syrian territory.
It is not clear what has happened to the body of the other pilot, who was killed by gunfire as he parachuted from his burning plane.Tensions have escalated between the two neighbours over the incident, and Russia has broken off military contacts with Turkey. The US, the EU and the UN have all appealed for calm.
President Putin has described the downing of the plane as a "stab in the back", and warned of serious consequences. Turkey's President Recep Erdogan has defended the action, saying "everyone must resp…

Turkey shot downs Russian warplane near Syria border, Putin warns Turkey

Washington: Turkish warplanes shot down a Russian Su-24 attack aircraft on Tuesday after the jet reportedly violated Turkish airspace, in an incident that will surely increase tensions in an already chaotic conflict.

The shoot down, confirmed by Turkish, Russian and U.S. officials, involved only Turkish and Russian forces. Russian defense officials say that the jet was flying at 6,000 feet in Syrian territory when it was struck with ground fire, while Turkish military officials have said that the aircraft was shot down by two F-16s after repeated warnings.

The Russian jet, a Sukhoi 24, is just one of approximately 30 fixed-wing aircraft flying sorties over Syria. The main contingent of Russian aircraft, flown out of Khmeimim airbase in Syria's coastal Latakia province, is composed of roughly a dozen Su-25 Frogfoots and Su-24 Fencers. The additional aircraft are smaller detachment of Su-30 and Su-34 multi-role fighters.

The Su-24, introduced into the Soviet air force in the 1970s…

Should we move out of India - Aamir Khan !!!

Actor Aamir Khan on Monday joined the outcry against intolerance, saying he was “alarmed” by a number of incidences and his wife Kiran Rao even suggested that they should probably leave the country.
He also supported thosereturning their awards, saying one of the ways for creative people to express their dissatisfaction or disappointment was to return their awards, while speaking at the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards. The actor said he also felt that the sense of insecurity and fear had been growing in the past six or eight months.
“When I chat with Kiran at home, she says ‘Should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. You feel why this is happening, you feel low. That sense does exist in me,…

Spectre Review !!!

As the 24th Installment of the 007 has hit the screen in India, we bring in our comments on the movie. In the last decade Bond films were becoming more of a drinking game than an entertaining and smart thriller. It took a rather special effort to turn it all around as Daniel Craig burst on to the scene withCasino Royaleand followed it up with the slightly disappointingQuantum of Solaceand the terrificSkyfall.
In the latter, Bond was brought down to his knees, things got personal and the hero, was made to fight against a daunting enemy with handmade weapons and a radio. It was also the most beautiful looking Bond film to date. Director Sam Mendes had well and truly found a heart in the Bond films, capturing the essence of what makes Bond so classy and giving him a genuine threat to deal with. Bringing back Mendes for the new film signaled some more quality entertainment.
Unfortunately it all comes undone in the new filmSpectre. Since Mendes already dealt with humanizing Bond inSkyfall, t…

Mali Attacks - Hotel under siege !!!

Gunmen who raided a Malian hotel shouted "Allahu akbar" as they sprayed bullets on tables of people who were gathered for breakfast, a witness said. The attackers did not say a word to anyone as they opened fire Friday morning, employee Tamba Couye said. They shot at "anything that moved" as terrified patrons dashed for cover all over the hotel, he said.
By the time Malian and U.N. security forces rushed in and ended the siege hours later, bodies were scattered across the floors of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako.
At least 22 people were killed in the attack, the U.N. mission in Mali said in a statement Sunday. Two attackers died, but it's unclear whether security forces killed them or whether they blew themselves up, mission spokesman Olivier Salgado said. The hotel was hosting delegations attending peace talks. The former French colony has been battling Islamist extremists with the help of U.N. and French forces.
About 140 guests and 30 employees were there wh…

Just had a Break up - Facebook comes to the rescue !!!

Breaking up is hard to do, but if you’re struggling through the end of a relationship, Facebook will be there for you. The social networkannounced on Nov. 19 that it will now let users “take a break” from seeing posts about their ex, which is probably the same phrase that startedthatconversation in the first place.
When users change their relationship status back to single, Facebook will now give them the option to see fewer posts from their former flame. They can also limit what their ex will see about them, and even edit past posts that the two of them are tagged in, rewriting history. Just go to the existing privacy settings and tweak. But a simpler option has existed pretty much since the creation of Facebook that users could also try out: They could just unfriend their ex.
But if you’re determined to stay friends with your ex, Facebook said in a blog post that it’s started to test the feature on its mobile app in the US. The company is testing the feature with a small number of use…

Paris Attack Mastermind killed in Police raid !!!

French investigators said Thursday that Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the suspected mastermind of the Paris terrorist attacks, died Wednesday in a major police operation in Saint-Denis, a suburb of the city. Another key suspect linked to Friday's atrocities by ISIS attackers in the French capital is still at large. And Belgian authorities are conducting fresh raids around Brussels.
Here are the most important developments:
French investigators tracked down the alleged ringleader of last week's Paris bloodshed after receiving a startling tipoff: The Islamic militant wasn't in Syria but in Europe, plotting yet another attack. A discarded cellphone found near a bloodied concert hall led them to his cousin, and then to a suburban Paris apartment where both died in a hail of bullets and explosions.
The search for Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam has been extended to include the Netherlands, where Abdeslam had spent time in the past, a source close to the investigation told CNN. A spokes…
