Mumbai, Jan 4: A major fire broke out on Monday morning in Naya Nagar slums in Mumbai’s Mahim area. The authorities have sent five fire tender to the spot to douse the flames. The incident took place at Mahim-Sion Link road, near S L Raheja Hospital at 11 am. In less than one month, the Mumbai city has witnessed three incidents of fire break out. No casualties were reported in the incident so far. More details are awaited.
Three days back, a major fire broke out in an open plot of land near Lakshmi Cottage building in Parel in central Mumbai. Scrap material lying on the plot caught fire at around 8.30 pm. Ten fire tenders were rushed to the spot and doused the fire. No casualties were reported in the incident.
