Mr Bedi, who celebrated his 70th birthday a day after his wedding on January 16, said: "I wish to thank every single person who has loved me, wished me, supported me and wanted the best for me. I hope I live up to their expectation and believe me the best is yet to come," he added.
The Sandokan star married British born Parveen, 42, in presence of close friends and family. This is Mr Bedi's third marriage after his separation from dancer Protima. He married fashion designer Susan Humphreys before marrying radio and television presenter Nikki Bedi in the late 1990s, with whom he was divorced from in 2005. He was also rumoured to have been dating Bollywood actress Parveen Babi, with whom he never got married.
