Woman thrown off moving train after 'gangrape' in UP's Mau district

VARANASI: A woman was thrown out of a moving train near Kajha Khurd village in the Mau district of Uttar Pradeh after she was allegedly gang-raped in the wee hours on Sunday.


According to reports, some villagers were passing through railway tracks in Kajha Khurd village, between Paligadh halt and Khurhat railway station, on Sunday morning when they heard the cries of some woman. When they reached close to her, she was found in nude condition while her ankle had also been chopped. Villagers claimed that she informed them that she had boarded Tamsa passenger train from Audihar to reach the place of in-laws in Shahganj area of Jaunpur district. She alleged that she had been gang-raped by two persons and was later thrown off the moving train
