On 9th January 2017, Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister, Piotr Gliski met Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on the first day of his visit to India. He commended the state of Gujarat as
an economic institution in itself and emerging larger than Poland, on those parameters.
The two leaders spoke about trade contracts between India and the Mazowieckie and
Podkarpackie districts of Poland, in addition to other areas of mutual interest. Glinski also
lead the group of delegates from Poland to the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017’,which is one of the prominent instruments of phrasing the economic scenario of India
