Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV may have hit a legal hurdle with none other than AICC spokesperson and well-known advocate Brijesh Kalappa announcing his decision to initiate legal action against the channel
It all started with Republic TV trying to get a quote from Kalappa over Delhi HC directions on Young India issue. This verbal dual video become sensational following few Republic TV supporters posting the video on You Tube under the banner, Arnab's befitting reply to Cong leader Brijesh Kalappa who was misbehaving with female anchor!
However, Kalappa has now come forward with his version of the story. Kalappa said, “I told the lady Arnab impersonator that I don’t know who she is, because I really don’t know who she is. I had never heard her name before that phone. I also told her that I cannot confirm or deny whether or not she is affiliated to the RSS or the BJP, because again, I have absolutely no idea who on earth she is.”
This incensed Arnab so much it seems, that to make up for the incompetence of his employees he felt the need to come on the line himself. "He began with shut up and followed that up with calling me a lunatic. I don’t know where that qualifies as journalism but it certainly doesn’t in my book. Which is why I cut the line," Kalappa added.
