NEW DELHI: Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind is the BJP-led NDA's nominee for the post of President of India, said senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Monday.
He made the announcement after a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary board earlier in the day.
Kovind is likely to file his papers on June 23.
"There has been no discussion yet on names for vice president," the BJP president said.

Shah said PM Modi talked with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi as well as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and informed them about the NDA's choice.
