New Delhi, July 16: Even after the government formed two committees of experts to examine the reasons for death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, his death remains one of the biggest mysteries in the world. But new documents termed as the French Secret Report suggests Netaji Bose did not die in a plane crash at the Taihoku report in Taipei on August 18, 1945. The report found by Paris based historian J B More states not only Netaji survived the crash but was also alive after independence in 1947. After examining the secret report, More says French Secret Service did not believe in the death of the leader after the crash.
More, a teacher at Institut des Hautes Etudes Economiques et Commerciales in Paris was quoted by The Times of India as saying, “It is not stated in the document that Subhas Chandra Bose died in the air crash in Taiwan. Instead, it is reported that Bose’s present whereabouts were unknown as late as December 1947, which again implies that the French did not buy the theory that Bose died in the air-crash on August 18, 1945.”
The report refutes not to accept the death but it further says Bose fled Indo-China region successfully. More said, “But he escaped from Indochina alive and his whereabouts were unknown as late as December 11, 1947, as reported in the secret document. This implies that he was alive somewhere but not dead in 1947.”
