Shashi Karnawat was involved in many corrupt practices has now been dismissed from the service .She was under suspension for around four years. Actually, the Shivraj Singh Chauhan Government was not supportive to the idea of punishing Shashi. She is a dalit and taking action against her would have given an opportunity to opposition to malign the Government.
A media report claimed heavy corruption in the purchasing of stationery items under Shashi Karnawat. The Economic Offence Wing of MP investigated the case and submitted report to the Mandla Court. The court after examining all reports found Shashi to be a corrupt and sent her to 5 years imprisonment. She was also fined Rs. 50 lakhs.
Shashi has now been dismissed. As expected, she has given enough indication to become a politician. She is hoping to get few thousands of Dalit votes in support of her.
And, she is also inclined to join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
