Uttar Pradesh Public Service commission (UPPSC) is on the right track under the new dispensation. The hegemony of one caste – Yadav – in result seems to be over, if one scans the recently declared Judiciary result. The fresh air of transparency is blowing which gives hope to deserving candidates.
The Commission has organized PSC 2017 preliminary examination on 24th September. There were few hiccups initially due to controversy related to CSAT, but they are well on the track. They have already started plan for PSC 2018 examination.
The tentative dates have already been announced. The Yogi Cabinet has already approved new changes in the syllabus and pattern of the examination.
Notification of UPPSC 2018 Examination
Following image contained entire schedule of the examination. It has already been cleared and will be included in the Commission Calendar for 2018. As you might know, they are determined to follow the calendar in letter and spirit.
Timely examination and results are the first criteria of transparent recruitment process. As you can see in the above attached image, the notification for PSC 2018 will be published in the month of January 2018. The preliminary examination will happen in June 2018. They have already said that the result will be in a shorter duration and from the next year, they will make all attempt to declare preliminary result in July 2018.
Candidates preparing for UPPSC should note this schedule and start their preparation accordingly.
New Pattern of UPPSC 2018
The Cabinet has approved the proposal to align PCS Mains according to the UPSC pattern. There will now be only one optional paper in the Mains.
Further, the major development is lowering the Interview marks by half.
