Double check the status of your next IndiGo or GoAir flight before heading to the airport. Eleven aircraft operated by the two budget carriers have been taken out of serviceas the aviation regulator ordered the grounding of all Airbus A320 Neo planes powered by Pratt & Whitney engines. These engines have a history of shutting down in-flight and the most recent incident was reported on IndiGo’s Ahmedabad-Lucknow flight yesterday. An aircraft operates about 7-8 daily flights and hence 80-90 flights could get canceled in all, Business Standard reports.
