Himanshu Roy commits suicide; updates: Mumbai Police issues statement, says top cop was depressed

Himanshu Roy, a senior Mumbai police officer involved in many high-profile investigations, committed suicide at his home at around 1:40 pm on Friday.

According to reports, Himanshu Roy who was an Additional Director General of Police shot himself using his service revolver.According to a statement released by Mumbai Police, Roy committed suicide as he was suffering from cancer. The same reason has been mentioned in the suicide note recovered by the police, news agency said
