Ratan Tata’s RNT Capital Advisors is investing $150 million in Alibaba’s Ant Financial Services,
Economic Times reports, quoting unidentified sources. This is the first overseas investment for the UC-RNT fund, formed in collaboration with the University of California. The transaction gives the fund a 0.1% stake in Ant Financial and is
part of a larger $10-12 billion round that values the Alibaba unit at $150 billion. Ant Financial has backed Indian unicorns such as Paytm and Zomato.
