The Supreme Court's Constitution Bench has referred the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute case for court-appointed and monitored mediation for a "permanent solution". The mediation process will be headed by Retired Justice FM Kalifulla and also comprise Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and senior advocate Sriram Panchu. The media reporting of the mediation proceedings will be banned, the order stated.
