Ajay Kumar Bhalla, currrently the Power Secretary, will take over from Rajiv Gauba on 31 August.Bhalla, a 1984-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, will join the Home Ministry with immediate effect and will continue to function as the OSD until Gauba retires on 31 August.
