India will make a second attempt to land on the moon by this month next year. Quoting sources, Times of India reports that ISRO began work on Chandrayaan-3 in October, by constituting multiple committees and sub-committees to evaluate various aspects of the mission. Chandrayaan-3 will consist of just a lander and rover – to make good Chandrayaan-2’s failed moon landing – as the orbiter from the previous mission is functioning satisfactorily. The top priority? "Strengthening the legs of the lander," so that it can dock even at high velocity.
