Delhi: Violent mob descends upon CAA protestors 20 km from Trump's Stay



A policeman was killed amid violent clashes in New Delhi on Monday as thousands of people demonstrating for and against a new citizenship law rioted for several hours before U.S. President Donald Trump’s maiden visit to the city

Violence erupted in northeast Delhi for the second consecutive day on the issue of the Citizenship Amendment Act. Two people died in clashes between anti-CAA and pro-factional groups in Zafarabad and Maujpur areas. Head Constable Ratan Lal lost his life on the head, while a protestor was also killed by the bullet. Another protestor injured in a violent clash also died on Monday night. Shahadra's DCP Amit Sharma was injured in the violence. The miscreants set fire to vehicles at several places. Also blew a petrol pump in Bhajanpura. The miscreants openly fired pistols and fired at Zafarabad. In Khajuri Khas, the police themselves were seen pelting stones at the miscreants. Violence erupted in the area for the first time on Sunday evening when BJP leader Kapil Mishra arrived to open a road.
