Typhoon Haishen landed near Ulsan in South Korea at 9am local time on Monday, according to the Korea Meteorological Agency. Millions of people were issued evacuation warnings as the weather system hit the south of Japan over the weekend. While Haishen caused less severe damage than expected, it left hundreds of thousands of homes without power in the southern island of Kyushu.
