Sources in Bengaluru Police said there was no prior information about a five-member cyber police team arriving from Delhi to arrest Disha, they were only informed when the team was on their way back to airport.
Disha Ravi is one of the founders of the "Friday for Future" campaign. On February 4, the Delhi Police filed a case regarding toolkit tweeted by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg. Coming after the chaos and violence during the farmers' tractor rally on Republic Day, her tweet had helped draw global attention to the protest.
Disha Ravi wasn't accompanied by any of her lawyers and spoke in the courtroom on her own. US Vice President Kamala Harris' niece Meena Harris , Delhi CM Kejriwal and Robert Vadra also tweeted in support of Disha Ravi.
