Tamil Nadu elections are now focused on Tamil Sentiments , Tamil Heritage , Hindi and Hindutva . In a recent statement Karti Chidambaram Congress MP from Sivaganga slammed the AIADMK-BJP alliance. He said Kamal Hassan is a Super NOTA and will not win a single seat.
In an interview with, Karti Chidambaram also claimed that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-Congress alliance will win over 200 out of the 234 Assembly seats in the single-phase April 6 polls. "People do not want a government which will not respect Tamil sentiments, Tamil language and Tamil heritage. They do not want a government which has any stain, scent or shadow of the BJP," Karti Chidambaram.
Actor-turned-BJP functionary Gautami Tadimalla, who parted ways with actor and MNM founder Kamal Haasan in 2016, said “Someone launching a party, saying that they will bring change, is a routine affair. Mr. Haasan’s party, too, adopted the same marketing strategy,”
In Tamil Nadu, Temple is also has a crucial role in elections. M Karunanidhi, the late five-time chief minister and president of the DMK asserted that Murugan was the god of DMK, in the temple town of Palani in 1971.
