Telangana state delegation successfully attracts Rs 21,000 crore in investments at World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos.

During the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, Telangana state delegation, led by state minister for information technology and industries, K.T. Rama Rao, successfully attracted investments worth Rs 21,000 crore for the state. This was the fifth visit of Minister KTR to Davos, and his efforts to promote Telangana as a global investment destination and gateway to India were successful. The Telangana pavilion presented information about the state's geography, past investments, and initiatives in IT and Industry. Microsoft announced plans to set up three more data centers in Hyderabad with an investment of Rs 16,000 crore, and other companies such as Bharti Airtel, Eurofins, PepsiCo, P&G, Allox, Apollo Tyres, WebPT, and Inspire Brands also announced investments in the state. Additionally, WEF announced plans to establish its first Indian center in Hyderabad, focusing on life sciences and healthcare, further solidifying the city's position as a hub for these industries.
