India offers customised training modules to Royal Cambodian Army

The Indian Army has announced plans to offer customized training courses in contemporary subjects to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF). Lieutenant General Hun Manet, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of RCAF and Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, is currently visiting India from February 2-4 in his first visit as Commander of the army. During the visit, General Manoj Pande, the Indian Army chief, offered support to Cambodia by providing customized training modules for the RCAF.

Lt. Gen. Manet and General Pande signed the terms of reference for army-to-army staff talks and exchanged customized training folders. The Lieutenant General started his visit by paying tribute to the fallen heroes of the Indian armed forces at the National War Memorial. He also met with various Indian officials, including the Defense Secretary, Vice President, Defense Minister, External Affairs Minister, and Deputy National Security Advisor.

On Saturday, Lt. Gen. Manet is set to visit the Rajputana Rifles Regimental Centre where he will witness the training of Agniveers and a display of indigenous defense equipment. He is also scheduled to meet with General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defense Staff, before departing from Delhi.

India and Cambodia have a long-standing cultural, religious, and people-to-people connection, with Cambodia being a key partner in India's Act East policy. The nations have cordial relations in the areas of defense and security. The Indian Army's move to provide customized training to the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces is expected to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
