Samantha Ruth Prabhu Begins Shooting for Indian Version of Citadel Web Series, Set to Star Alongside Varun Dhawan
Samantha Ruth Prabhu announces that she will star in the Indian installment of the Citadel Universe. The actor shared the news on her social media accounts, revealing that she will appear alongside actor Varun Dhawan in the espionage series, created by the Russo brothers' AGBO for Prime Video. The series is being directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and is currently being shot in Mumbai. This will be Varun's OTT debut while Samantha has previously worked with the directors in The Family Man 2. The series will be available on Prime Video.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu has taken to her social media to announce that she has begun filming the Indian installment of the Citadel Universe. She is seen in a new look, wearing a leather jacket and black pants, accessorized with sunglasses and untied hair. Despite rumors that Samantha would not be a part of Citadel due to her health, she confirmed that filming had begun.
Samantha was previously diagnosed with the autoimmune condition myositis and has shared her journey on Instagram. She mentioned that although it has been a struggle, she has faith that she will make a full recovery soon. Her publicist also released a statement dismissing rumors of her quitting Citadel as false.
Varun Dhawan will also be starring in the series, which is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK and produced by the Russo brothers' AGBO for Prime Video. It will be Varun's OTT debut. Samantha previously worked with the directors on "The Family Man 2".
