Congress MLAs create ruckus over Mhow scandal during Madhya Pradesh budget session

The ongoing budget session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly was disrupted on its 10th day, as the opposition Congress MLAs protested the lack of an FIR against the accused in the death of a tribal girl, echoing the Mhow scandal. The disruption led to the adjournment of the proceedings till the Question Hour by Assembly Speaker Girish Gautam. When the House resumed at noon, the Congress MLAs resumed their protest, while Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra accused them of playing politics on dead bodies. In response, Congress MLA Sajjan Verma claimed that justice had to be begged for, and Minister Bhupendra Singh accused the Congress of trying to disrupt the House.
