French President Macron Embarks on Vibrant State Visit to India, Highlights Include Jaipur Tour and Bilateral Talks with PM Modi
On January 25, 2024, French President Emmanuel Macron visited Jaipur as part of his two-day state visit to India. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Governor Kalraj Mishra welcomed him. Macron explored the Amber Fort, met school students, and joined a road show with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, visiting landmarks like Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. The road show ended at Sanganeri Gate, where the leaders had a brief tea chat. Later, PM Modi hosted Macron for talks and dinner at Rambagh Palace, discussing defense, space, civil nuclear, and the Indo-Pacific. Macron is the chief guest for India’s 75th Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2024.
