Additional cheetahs are poised to be reintroduced into the jungle from Kuno National Park, pending official approval from Bhopal. Earlier in the current winter season, four cheetahs were released into the open jungle from enclosures. Within days, Agni ventured as far as the Rajasthan border, prompting tranquilization and return to the enclosure. Due to Agni's strong bond with Vayu, both were captured and placed inside Agni's enclosure. As of now, only two cheetahs roam the jungle.
Kuno National Park officials are closely monitoring the well-being of three recently born cheetah cubs. All are in good health, and their mother Asha is ensuring they receive proper care.
In March 2023, cheetah Siyaya delivered four cubs, but sadly, only one survived. This lone cub faces a challenging outlook in the wild, lacking essential hunting skills. Siyaya rejected it after separation for medical treatment.
