Motorola has launched a new smartphone in its Moto G series, the Moto G24, in India. The Moto G24 is a budget-friendly device that offers a 90Hz display, a 50MP dual rear camera, and a 5000mAh battery. The Moto G24 is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs. 9,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. It will go on sale from February 7 via Flipkart, Motorola's official website, and select retail stores.
The Moto G24 features a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a peak brightness of 537 nits and a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. The Moto G24 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Moto G24 runs on Android 14 with My UX on top.
The Moto G24 sports a dual rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera supports LED flash, HDR, panorama, and 1080p video recording at 30fps. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and HDR support. The Moto G24 also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
The Moto G24 packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 15W wired charging. The Moto G24 also has an IP52 water-resistant design and a 3D acrylic glass back. The Moto G24 comes in four color options: Matte Charcoal, Ice Green, Blueberry, and Pink Lavender. The Moto G24 also supports NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and dual SIM connectivity.
The Moto G24 is a competitor to other budget smartphones in the Indian market, such as the Redmi 10 Prime, the Realme 8i, and the Samsung Galaxy F22. The Moto G24 offers a smooth display, a large battery, and a decent camera for its price range. However, it lacks a high-resolution display, a fast charger, and a wide-angle camera that some of its rivals offer.
