A horrifying incident unfolded in Jharkhand's Dumka district on Friday
night, where a Spanish tourist was allegedly gang-raped. The couple
was reportedly camping in a makeshift tent at Kurumahat, Hansdiha,
when the attack occurred.
Jarmundi Sub Divisional Police Officer, Santosh Kumar, confirmed the
incident but refrained from providing further details, stating more
information would be released later. Unidentified sources suggest
seven to eight individuals were involved, with three arrested so far.
A manhunt is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The victim is currently receiving medical attention at a local
hospital. State health minister Banna Gupta expressed his lack of
complete knowledge about the incident but promised stringent legal
action against the perpetrators.
