1. Interim Protection Extended:
   The Delhi High Court has extended interim protection from arrest for Puja Khedkar until September 5. She faces charges related to fraudulently availing attempts in the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) examination by faking her identity.

2. Forgery Allegations:
   The Delhi Police claims to have evidence that Khedkar committed forgery. They argue that her custodial interrogation is necessary to uncover the entire conspiracy, as she allegedly cheated and defrauded the UPSC while snatching the lawful rights of eligible aspirants with benchmark disabilities.

3. High Court Petition:
   In her petition to the high court, Khedkar asserts that the case against her is based on false, improbable, and impossible facts. She denies manipulating her identity or presenting false information.

4. UPSC Action:
   The UPSC has canceled Khedkar's provisional candidature for the CSE-2022 and permanently debarred her from all future UPSC examinations/selections. She was accused of misusing her authority .
