In 1925, Ambedkar, a man in his early thirties wrote a set of recommendations which he dreamt should be the future constitution of India. He believed in a society where there is no discrimination, where everyone got equal opportunities. He also wanted a way to balance the harm which is already done. He continued to speak about this in a regular basis with British rulers, Indian leaders and general public.
Ambedkar’s point of view raised the eyebrows of many. They were not ready to accept him and leaders as popular as Gandhi objected to his recommendations.
But, Ambedkar was confident that a change like this is required. He continued to insist on this, eventually becoming the law minister of independent India and chairman of its constitution drafting Committee.
It is this role of Ambedkar that made the maximum impact in India. He created a fair system where everyone got the right opportunities and no one was ignored or insulted. This system was praised by leaders and reformers from many countries, and his visionary thinking surprises people even today.
When the entire society was either enforcing or accepting unfair rules on its own men, Ambedkar saw a different world. He used education and clear thoughts as his weapon and succeeded in his mission.
