Narendra Modi’s Sarkar finally completes one year in office. It’s time for BJP government to make plans for celebration. Around 250 BJP rallies have been planned across India. The party has planned one rally in every two Lok Sabha constituencies. Although Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address only one rally. Modi took over as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014 along with a small group of his Council of Ministers.
Although his new style of governance and his initiatives have benefitted a people across different sections of society but has also faced criticism to a ground level.
Electorally, 2014 may have been a successful year with victories in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir, but 2015 gave a rude shock to the ruling BJP with a humiliating defeat in the national capital of Delhi.
Here’s an overview of Modi’s hits and misses he has given in a country by his government.
A hand to different nations was a main highlight this year which attracted people to his positive power of improvement. The first was marked by a meeting with Pakistan Premier Nawaz Sharif which became a main headline of all newspapers. Further Prime Minister dedicated India’s largest warship by making country self-reliant on manufacturing defense equipment. The SIT under orders of Modi has prepared a comprehensive action plan, including creation of an institutional structure that could enable India to fight the battle against black money. Modi Sarkar has rolled out the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. The ambitious scheme aims at a comprehensive financial inclusion by opening of bank accounts of people who have been left out in the process so far. On the inauguration day, a record 1.5 crore bank accounts were opened under this scheme. Modi has decided to launch the clean-up drive across India, and the aim is to make sure every home has a functioning toilet. Apart from all this Modi government has any how lost control over diesel prices. Also the prices of sugar and LPG rise up for the common people. Taking cues from the wholesale market, retail prices for sugar increased by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 39-40 per kg.One of the major concern which rose this year was with the premier politicians unabashedly making controversial and derogatory statements, it comes as no surprise that the rate of crimes against women have increased.
Hence rather than making it as a celebration, the government should be more concerned about people letting them know the benefits of their already issued policies and their upcoming projects.
