The only Indian city with safe air

A month after the Centre launched the National Clean Air Programme, only one Indian city – Patiala – has safe air, IndiaSpend reports, citing a daily pollution tracker. Just 10 other cities out of the 74 assessed have breathable air even as the usual suspects Ghaziabad and Varanasi languish at the bottom. India is home to 14 of the world’s most polluted cities, according to a WHO study. The clean air initiative aims to cut PM2.5 and PM10 concentration by 20-30% by 2024.

Wonder why we still are not taking measures and steps towards contributing to bring down the pollution. Is it because ?

1. Safety - Shared services
 2. Public Transportation : Last mile connectivity issues
 3. Flexible time : Don't have to depend on others time.
4. Pollution from car is minimum so don't have to bother !

- What do you think is major cause for people not making efforts towards bringing down Air Quality Index to acceptable levels ?

- How can Corporates in and surrounding areas of Delhi take steps towards this issue ?
