K Srinivas has been appointed the deputy commissioner of the Bengaluru Urban district.  He was earlier the commissioner of the department of youth empowerment and sports. His appointment comes after the incumbent deputy commissioner B M Vijay Shankar was arrested on July 8 in connection with the IMA Scam.
