UP's 2008 batch IPS officer Alankrita Singh has been suspended by the Yogi government. She was posted as Superintendent of Police in the Women and Child Protection Organization, Lucknow. She is traveling abroad without authorized leave sanction and that made UP Govt suspend her.
Her suspension was issued after it was confirmed that she was continuously absent from work and was reportedly in London without out getting her leave sanctioned by the government.
Till her suspension period, the IPS officer will be attached to DGP headquarters. She has been suspended under All India Service Act 1969.
A report in Times of India said that Alankrita got a fellowship at Oxford University for a programme in child development studies.
Earlier, UP government had suspended Ghaziabad SSP Pawan Kumar on charges of corruption.
