The Congress party has fired back after Home Minister Amit Shah challenged them to take the Adani issue to court. Shah said that if the Congress party has any doubts regarding the Adani group, they should take the matter to court in order to clear their doubts. The Congress party responded to this challenge saying that it was the BJP government that had given Adani the contract to develop six airports in India. They further said that the decision was taken without any competitive bidding and that it was a clear violation of the Public Procurement Act. The Congress party also said that the BJP government has been giving Adani preferential treatment for some time now. They accused the BJP of promoting crony capitalism and said that it had caused immense harm to the economy. The Congress party also said that the BJP had allowed Adani to take over India’s most important natural resources such as coal mines, forests and ports. They said that this was done without any public consultation and that it was a clear violation of the law. The Congress party further said that the BJP government had used public money to bail out Adani during the pandemic. They said that this was done without any transparency or accountability and it was a clear case of misuse of public funds
