The Permanent Mission of India (PMI) to the United Nations has paid the assessed contribution to the regular budget of the UN for the year 2023. The amount has been paid in full to the United Nations by the PMI.

The PMI said that the payment was made ahead of the due date for the 2023 dues. This shows India's commitment to its obligations towards the UN and is in line with the country's policy of making timely payments to the UN. The payment was made in three installments. The first installment was paid on January 6, 2021, and the remaining two installments were paid on February 8, 2021, and April 7, 2021. This is not the first time India has paid its dues to the UN well before the due date. The country has a long history of making payments ahead of schedule and has done so for many years. The payment of the UN dues is made by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) through the PMI. The MEA is responsible for the payment of all India's dues to the UN and other international
