During the 98th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the "digital revolution" in India and its power, highlighting the benefits of the teleconsultation app E Sanjeevani and the linking of India's UPI with Singapore's Pay Now in promoting "ease of living".
PM Modi acknowledged the success of the E-Sanjeevani app, which provides teleconsultation, particularly during the pandemic, saying it has proven to be a great asset to the people.
The prime minister also remembered legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who had encouraged people to participate in the three competitions announced during the Mann Ki Baat programme. PM Modi announced the winners of the Deshbhatki Geet, Lori, and Rangoli-making competitions.
PM Modi also mentioned the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puruskar and highlighted musicians across India who are keeping alive traditional instruments such as sursingar and meitei pung.
In his previous month's address, PM Modi praised the contribution of tribal communities in India, saying that a significant number of Padma Awardees this year were from these communities.
Furthermore, he talked about the International Year of Millets, saying that more people are incorporating millets into their diet. He also highlighted that both the International Day of Yoga and the International Day of Millets were initiated by India and recognized by the United Nations.
The Mann Ki Baat programme can be heard live on various platforms, including All India Radio, DD, and the Narendra Modi mobile app, and it is also being broadcast on PM Modi's official YouTube channel.
