US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to visit India for G20 conference with focus on Russia-Ukraine conflict

The US Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, is set to attend the G20 finance ministers conference in Bengaluru next week, where she will work with allies to hold Russia accountable for its illegal invasion of Ukraine and address its spillover effects. The conference, which will run from Wednesday to Saturday at the Nandi Hills resort, is the first ministerial event of the G20 after India took over the presidency in December. Yellen will also hold a roundtable with US and Indian tech executives and meet with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and UK's Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt. During the tech roundtable, they will discuss advancing shared goals like bolstering digital public infrastructure and deepening US-Indian economic ties
