Gujarat is one of the most culturally and economically significant states in India, and it is proud to host the G20 Summit in 2023. The Group of Twenty (G20) is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. The G20 is an intergovernmental forum of the world’s major developed and developing economies. India holds the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023.

The theme of India’s G20 Presidency - “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or “One Earth · One Family · One Future” - is drawn from the ancient Sanskrit text of the Maha Upanishad. For India, the G20 Presidency also marks the beginning of “Amritkaal”, The G20 Leaders’ Summit at the level of Heads of State / Government is scheduled to be held on 09 and 10 September 2023 in New Delhi. The G20 currently comprises: Sherpa Track, Finance Track and Engagement Groups of private sector / civil society / independent bodies.

Key G20 events pertaining to finance, banking, trade, investment, energy, urban development, environment, clement, tourism and women's empowerment, among others will be hosted by Gujarat State. These events/ meetings will take place around the state, which reflects the richness & diversified tourist culture in Gujarat.
