The Indian government has announced several appointments to various ministries. Shri Anil Subramaniam, (CSS), has been appointed as Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Shri B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, IAS (CG:1987), will now serve as Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of NITI Aayog. Shri Niraj Kumar Bansod, IAS (CG:2008), has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister for Cooperation for Shri Amit Shah in the Ministry of Cooperation. Shri Rocktim Saikia, IRS (IT : 2010), will serve as Private Secretary to the Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways for Shri Sarbananda Sonowal in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways. Shri Amitabh Prasad, IA&AS (2001), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence for the Ministry of Defence. Shri Rahul Kapoor, IRAS (2002), will serve as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. Shri Shahnawaz Alam, IP&TA&FS (1994), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs. Ms. Sonal Mishra, IAS (GJ:1997), will serve as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Finally, Shri Ajay Gupta, IRSS (1993), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles.
