Lalit Kumar Gupta, who is was serving as the Director of Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI), is appointed CMD of CCI on March 17.
Gupta has a wealth of experience in the finance sector and has been associated with CCI for over 25 years since joining the organization in August 1994. He has completed his MBA in Marketing from ITM Business School in Navi Mumbai and is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a member of the Institute of the Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
CCI is a government agency responsible for various activities related to the trade, procurement, and export of cotton. It is a public sector agency responsible for the fair distribution of cotton among various industry constituents and for supporting cotton imports. The company was established under the Companies Act 1956 on July 31, 1970.
