The Congress party has come to a resolution with both leaders accepting a rotational arrangement, wherein Siddaramaiah will serve as the Chief Minister for 2.5 years, followed by Shivakumar assuming the role. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge put in extensive effort until late Wednesday night to resolve the political impasse regarding the selection of the next Chief Minister in Karnataka and successfully reached an agreement for the formation of the government.
