French President Emmanuel Macron appointed Gabriel Attal as Prime Minister on Tuesday, succeeding the former head of government Elisabeth Borne, as reported by media sources.
Gabriel Attal, who previously served as the government spokesperson for former Prime Minister Jean Castex from 2020 to 2022, later took on the role of Minister Delegate for the Budget in Elisabeth Borne's government in 2022.
Having assumed the position of Minister of National Education and Youth since July 2023, Gabriel Attal, at the age of 34, now holds the distinction of being the youngest prime minister in France's Fifth Republic.
