Bihar Voters Deliver '65-Volt Shock' to 'Jungle Raj' Proponents with Record Phase 1 Turnout: PM Modi Slams Opposition

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sharply targeted the Opposition, stating that Bihar's voters delivered a stinging "65-volt jhatka [shock]" to those who prospered under the 'Jungle Raj' period during the initial phase of the Assembly polls. Speaking at a rally in Sitamarhi, PM Modi remarked, "The first phase saw the Jungle Raj forces receive a massive '65-volt jhatka'. Buzz is everywhere that Bihar's youth have overwhelmingly backed NDA for progress, while the state's women and daughters have secured a historic win for the alliance." He further slammed the RJD's election drive, highlighting how children were being taught to chant slogans about turning into extortionists rather than dreaming of becoming doctors or other professionals.
