Happiness Through Prayers During Ramzan

It's a realization of how lucky and grateful we should be for having food on the table.

Sometimes, being a Muslim one forgets the real meaning of fasting and tends to eat so much during Suhoor and so much more during Iftar.

When my non Muslim friends fasted with me, they said "It's sad we don't realize what hunger is until we actually step in the shoes. We feel so miserable without food and water and its just a few hours, and there are people in the world who die of starvation". Living away from my home and country, my non Muslim friends fast with me for the entire month, cook and break fast together. It's a month to be humble and share what you have with anyone in need and that's what we do, irrespective of the religion. Rich or poor, Muslims stand together for prayers in the month of Ramadan and share the same feeling of hunger. This is a reminder that we all are going to be buried one day and no riches or fame or people will be of use, but only our deeds will count.

It's a blessing to be one of those people who can afford the needs and wants. So are all of you reading this now. Doesn't matter if you believe in God or not, Ramadan teaches a lot about the way one should live with humility and kindness. Try giving away your meal to someone who's hungry, the happiness within is priceless.
