Emraan Hashmi had quite an image on screen. But not many know that Hashmi, who played a lover boy to a married woman (Mallika Sherawat) in the 2004 film Murder, had a similar experience in real life too.
Before tying the knot with now wife Parveen Shahani, Hashmi was in a relationship with a married woman. And the actor made this revelation during one of his interviews in 2005. Emraan, who was then enjoying the tag of Bollywood's serial kisser, did not mince words when asked if has ever been in a relationship with a married woman.
In an interview to a website, he had said, "Yes I did have an affair with a married woman. But all along I wasn't aware that she was married."
The Murder actor said that as soon as he got to know about the woman's marital status, he wanted to back out, but somehow he couldn't. "Yes, I know it doesn't make sense but when in a relationship, logic goes for a toss. So I went along without knowing where this wild journey was headed for," he added.
Love is blind, and so was Hashmi. He still kept on continuing with the relationship, despite his "conscience started to hurt."
