New Delhi: The Election Commission on Sunday rejected a plea seeking to advance the voting from 7 am in the morning to 4:30 / 5:00 am early morning for the upcoming phases of Lok Sabha elections due to Ramzan.

The plea was filed earlier this week in the Supreme Court and a bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi had asked the EC to decide on the matter.
