Smriti Irani and Ravishankar Prasad to get front row seat in Loksabha

The House is set to change the coveted front row of MPs in Parliament, since 6 senior parliamentarians who were front benchers have not returned to the house. Speaker Om Birla today announced that the cabinet of ministers Smriti Irani and Ravi Shankar Prasad have front row seats. The new arrangement will be implemented from the next session. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and HD Sadanand Gowda are among the leaders in front row.

The leading change is to indicate the changing equations of the BJP. LK Advani and Sushma Swaraj were leaders in the first Modi government. Many of them are not in the Lok Sabha because they did not contest the elections.
